A letter to my child

My Child, You are so precious to me, and I will be your mother, no matter what your age. We will celebrate, have our misunderstandings, but never doubt my love. You will always have the keys to my heart.

You gave me so much joy that I never knew existed; I have never regretted having you even for a moment though you can be a pain in the ass.

You are so precious to me and I will always celebrate you every day of my life; you brought smiles once again to my heart.

I can remember the day I had you that’s God’s blessed day; the doctors told me I might not survive having you as I had a weak heart, but you kicked that moment and I knew we will be together for a very long time.

It was very hard and my delivery date and the doctors said it was a miracle that I was able to pull this through; we are twenty years and counting and I know we might be today until sixty.

I love you so much son, never forget that; even when things seem to get hard in school bear in mind that I’m your biggest supporter.

My beautiful child. I wish I could give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. To see how beautiful you are. To see how much you have grown as a person. To see how you have the ability to light up my life without even saying a word. To see and understand what unconditional love really is.

Then you would know just how special you are. ~ by Dave Hedges
