What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Why not skip the crowded restaurants and have a romantic dinner at home with champagne, candlelight and a delicious chicken pasta bake!
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? We’re staying in and having a romantic dinner for two. I’ve never been a big fan of going out on Valentine’s Day. It’s hard to get reservations, the restaurants are packed and the special “Valentine’s Day menu” usually costs more. Plus, there’s always the issue of trying to find a babysitter on a holiday.
That’s why we find it much more romantic, and relaxing, to stay in and make dinner for two. We’re feed the kids early, get them to bed and then enjoy having the place to ourselves. A little champagne, some candlelight and my delicious chicken pasta bake are all we need for our romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.
This recipe is so good and it’s because the secret is in the sauce! There are plenty of pasta sauces in the world but I love Bertolli because it’s straight from Tuscany! These premium pasta sauces are simple yet full of flavor and because I already find Italy so romantic, these sauces are just right for my romantic dinner.
This time I’m creating a new, unique flavor by combining Bertolli® Organic Traditional Tomato & Basil Sauce with Bertolli® Organic Cream Alfredo Sauce. They’re tasty on their own but together they make an amazing rosa sauce that’s perfect for pasta, chicken and more.
Both sauces are USDA Organic products made with non-GMO ingredients. The Bertolli® Organic Traditional Tomato & Basil Sauce is loaded with the best organic ingredients like romano cheese, extra virgin olive oil and plump tomatoes. Bertolli® Organic Cream Alfredo Sauce contains organic ingredients such as aged parmesan and romano cheeses, real butter, whole milk and fresh cream, coming together to form a rich alfredo sauce with authentic flavor. They’re just what I need to make this recipe stand out!
Chicken Pasta Bake
Cook one box of penne pasta according to the directions on the box. Next, add the olive oil to a pan and cook the chicken over medium heat.
Add the mushrooms for the last couple minutes.
Drain the chicken and mushrooms and pour into a bowl. Add garlic and sun dried tomatoes.
Pour in the entire jar Bertolli® Organic Traditional Tomato & Basil Sauce and the jar of Bertolli® Organic Cream Alfredo Sauce.
Stir the ingredients to make a delicious rosa sauce.
Mix in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheese.
Stir in pasta and pour into a baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
Bake uncovered at 350° for 20 minutes. Add freshly shredded parmesan cheese and garnish with red pepper flakes and chopped parsley (optional)
Romantic Dinner For Two
This chicken pasta bake made such a delicious Valentine’s Day idea and our romantic dinner at home was much better (and less expensive) than going to a packed restaurant.
I couldn’t have done it without this amazing rosa sauce…it really made the dish!
While this recipe was perfect for our Valentine’s Day dinner, I definitely don’t plan to wait a whole year before I make it again. It’s a great dinner recipe any day of the year!
