We love EGGO waffles for breakfast but have you ever tried them for dessert? These awesome dessert waffles may change the way you think about your favorite breakfast food.

When’s the last time you had a mommy-daughter date? We’re way past due! Since we’re moving soon, most of my days have been spent working and packing boxes…and more boxes…and MORE boxes!

I decided it was time to take a break and plan some mommy-daughter dates with my girls. First up was Keira, my seven year old. She’s so easy to please that she’s usually happy just staying home and snuggling on the couch, especially if treats are involved.

She chose to spend our date watching her favorite show, Spirit Riding Free! This Netflix show centers on a tween named Lucky. Lucky moves to a small town and bonds with Spirit, a horse she rescues from wranglers. She and her friends Pru and Abigail are strong, independent girls who love adventure and solve the problems that pop up along the way…just like my little Keira.

Its sends a great message and I’m happy that this is the kind of show she chooses to watch. In fact, she doesn’t even care that we’ve packed up most of her toys for the move. She’s got her Spirit Riding Free toys and that’s all she needs.

Of course we needed treats for our date night and the easier the better. That’s why these dessert waffles with chocolate and caramel are so perfect! They have just four main ingredients and take minutes to make. That’s not the best part though…the best part is how awesome they taste. These waffles will seriously make your mouth water!

Dessert Waffles

I found all the ingredients we needed at Walmart, including our favorite Eggo Waffles and Reddi-Wip.

Does anything go better together than Eggo Waffles and Reddi-Wip? It’s like peanut butter and jelly or salt and pepper…they belong together! These waffles are so deliciously warm and fluffy and it takes just minutes to toast them until they’re perfectly golden and crispy.

Topping your Eggo Waffles with Reddi-Wip totally bumps them up another notch! Because real cream is a priority, Reddi-Wip contains less hydrogenated oils than other frozen whipped toppings. They also use only the best dairy cream in original flavors and the best coconut cream in the non-dairy varieties.

Basically what I’m saying is that when you combine Eggo Waffles and Reddi-Wip, you’re going to get something that tastes amazing! Add some dark chocolate and caramel, and you’ll get the best dessert waffles ever!

How To Make Dessert Waffles

One dessert was plenty for Keira and I to share. Start with two Eggo waffles. Toast the waffles until they are a crispy, golden brown.

While the waffles are in the toaster, get your chocolate chips and caramel.

Next, microwave caramel for about 15 seconds.

Using a spoon or a plastic squeeze bottle (my favorite) drizzle the chocolate, then the caramel over the first waffle.

Add the second waffle and drizzle with remaining chocolate and caramel.

It almost looks good enough to eat just like this. Don’t do it yet though or you’ll miss the best part.

Top the waffles with a large dollop of Reddi-Wip. You can even add chocolate sprinkles if you have some handy.

Spirit Riding Free Activity Pages

Since Keira loves this show so much, I also printed some fun coloring pages from the Spirit Riding Free site. They have lots of great activity pages, including mazes, games, crafts and more.
