Moment Father Reads A Story To His Daughter After 129 Days Apart Makes Everyone Shed Tears

This father and her daughter who were forced apart for 129 days due to the pan*demic are finally reunited in a bedtime story. The last moment the two met was videotaped and shared on the Facebook page Carmela’s Stand up the Muscular Dystrophy. The girl in question is Carmela Chillery-Watson, a brave six-year-old living with congenital muscular dystrophy LMNA. Her condition has forced Carmela to shelter at home because of the pan*demic outbreak, as she is considered a vulnerable person.

Since Carmela’s father was a key worker who worked as a delivery driver during the pan*demic, he was not allowed to see his daughter for four months. A touching clip of the moment he was finally allowed to read to his young daughter in her sleep was captured and shared on Carmela’s update page. The caption reads: “Reunited after 4 months. Dad is finally home.” It’s been 129 days since Dad was allowed to enter the house near me because my clinical condition is very vulnerable and he is a C*ᴏ*ᴠ*ɪ*ᴅ ᴇᴍᴇʀɢᴇɴᴄʏ delivery driver.

“I still haven’t kissed, cuddled, or hit you because I don’t feel confident with still having a normal delivery in the hospital, but tonight was a very happy bedtime.” The little girl looks very pleased with her father’s presence in the video.
