Trying to decide where to eat in Disney Springs? With authentic Italian food and beautiful views, Terralina Disney Springs is definitely worth checking out. Just make sure you remember to leave room for dessert!

Terralina Crafted Italian

Thanks to Terralina for hosting our dinner! All opinions are 100% my own.

I’ve been planning to try Terralina Disney Springs for awhile now so when a friend and I met up in Orlando, it seemed like the perfect time. I always love trying new restaurants in Disney Springs and this one had been on my list since it opened last year.

Terralina Disney Springs

Terralina Crafted Italian is a relatively new Italian restaurant with a menu created by James Beard award-winning chef Tony Mantuano. Inspired by Italy’s lake district, they serve authentic Italian dishes prepared with Chef Tony’s signature olive oil, imported straight from Italy.

Atmosphere

While this is a nice restaurant, it’s got a laid back feel and you’ll feel perfectly comfortable whether you’re wearing shorts and a t-shirt or your Sunday best. Because it’s Disney, you’ll feel right at home bringing the kids too. The kid’s menu has all the traditional favorites like mac & cheese, pizza, spaghetti, chicken fingers and more.

I love the cozy Italian atmosphere inside of this restaurant but can never pass up dining on the water so we chose to eat outside on the back patio.

The view of Lake Buena Vista was perfect and it was cool watching the amphicars as they floated by! The bonus was that we also got a pretty sunset as the sun when down.

Cocktails

Of course, when you meet up with friends for dinner, you have to start with cocktails! I took the waiter’s suggestion and went with The Springs, a simple looking but delicious drink made with Liv vodka, St. Elder elderflower, rosemary, mint, and Zardetto private cuvée prosecco. Ali chose the Limoncello Mojito, because you can never go wrong with mojitos, right?

Unique Pairings

The Ciabatta bread comes paired with a side of pickled vegetables and while I prefer dipping my bread in olive oil, it was nice having something unique to try.

Appetizers

Next up…appetizers. I had to try the herb ricotta-stuffed Fried Olives and they did not disappoint. They were bursting with flavor and SO tasty!

We also ordered the Mozzarella Stuffed Rice Balls and as soon as I saw them, I couldn’t wait to dig in!

The crisp outside combined with the hot melted cheese inside was every bit as delicious as it sounds, especially when dipped in the tomato basil sauce.

Entrees

It was hard not to eat every bite of the appetizers but we made ourselves save some room for dinner. I’m a big seafood lover and went with the Seafood Cannelloni. This pasta dish made with fish, shrimp, scallops, mascarpone and a shrimp cream sauce was right up my alley.

The entrees were pretty big and this could easily have been split between two people. You never know just how much seafood you’ll get when you order at some restaurants but this dish had plenty (and all the cheese didn’t hurt either). It tasted great but then I made the mistake of tasting my friend Ali’s entree. I had total food envy!

Don’t you hate it when you order something but then taste someone else’s entree and wish you’d ordered it instead? My seafood dish was good but next time I’m ordering what Ali had. It was delicious!

The Rigatoni Calabrese is served with housemade pork sausage, tomato, olive, mushroom and escarole and this may just be my new favorite pasta dish! I liked that it went light on the sauce. It didn’t need a lot because the other ingredients added so much flavor. I’m one of those people that gets in the habit of ordering the same things over and over and I have a feeling that this is all I’ll be having at Terralina from now on!

The restaurant has a mouthwatering selection of desserts and I was dying to try the Chocolate Dipped Gelato Sandwich. However, we were already so full  that we had to get a to-go bag. Dessert was out of the question, though it’s on my to-do list next time for sure!

To-go back from Terralina

We had a fantastic experience at Terralina and loved the atmosphere, delicious Italian food and of course, the waterfront view. If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Disney Springs, you’re going to love this place!
